Agency Partner Manager Job at MNTN, Inc., United States

Job Description

Agency Partner Manager

At MNTN, we put our people first, full stop. This allows our company culture to be defined by our team members and their shared values, like trust, ambition, quality, radical honesty, and compassionate leadership. It's why we all really love working for the Hardest Working Software in Television™ (and also why we were named one of Ad Age's Best Places To Work in 2026.)

We pride ourselves on bringing unrivaled performance and simplicity to Connected TV advertising. Our self-serve technology makes running TV ads as easy as search and social, helping brands drive measurable conversions, revenue, site visits, and more. It's what led MNTN to being named one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies in 2023. You can learn more about us and everything we do by visiting mountain.com.

We're committed to innovation that empowers, not replaces. At MNTN, AI is a tool for growth, enhancing efficiency while keeping a people-first approach. Our goal is to streamline workflows and drive new solutions—without compromising the human element that makes our company great.

So if wanting to do more, own more, and make a bigger impact comes naturally to you, then you may be the person we're looking for to join us in our next stage of growth.

As a Partner Manager, you're the strategic owner of a portfolio of agencies on the MNTN platform — accountable for how those accounts perform, whether they stay, and how they grow. You'll work in a dedicated partnership with your Agency Sales counterpart to co-own the growth and success of a shared book of business. The lanes are clear: they drive growth from net-new agencies and net-new brands within existing agencies — while you drive growth from the brands already running on MNTN. You bring the partner relationship and platform expertise; they bring the new-business motion. Together you're measured on the total.

That work starts with analysis. You'll spend real time inside your accounts, reviewing account and campaign strategy and performance to find what's working, what's leaving money on the table, and where an account is quietly heading toward risk. It's what catches problems early enough to prevent churn, and what makes a growth conversation credible — partners expand when you've shown them a specific path to better outcomes. Enablement is how much of that gets delivered: partners who understand the platform spend more, stay longer, and win more of their own business.

If you're motivated by digging into accounts, building real relationships, and growing a book of business, we want to hear from you.

What You Will Do
  • Own the health, performance, and growth of your agency portfolio, using data to identify opportunities, risks, and next steps.
  • Lead strategic business reviews, account audits, and optimization recommendations that improve outcomes and drive retention.
  • Partner with Sales to develop and execute account growth plans, expanding spend through new strategies, products, and channels.
  • Proactively identify churn risk and lead recovery plans for at-risk accounts.
  • Build trusted, multi-threaded agency relationships and serve as a strategic advisor on MNTN, media strategy, and best practices.
  • Translate partner needs and market insights into actionable feedback for internal teams.
  • Deliver targeted training and enablement that increases platform adoption, proficiency, and partner self-sufficiency.
  • Stay ahead of MNTN product updates and industry trends to proactively bring partners new ideas and opportunities.
What Success Looks Like
  • Your portfolio is healthy, growing, and increasingly self-sufficient — and your Agency Sales counterpart has a clear, trusted partner in driving the overall book.
  • You've identified and created credible paths to incremental spend, whether through stronger performance, new strategies, additional channels, or broader adoption of the platform.
  • You can speak confidently to the health, performance, opportunity, and risk of every account in your portfolio. You know where growth is available, where performance is off track, and what action is needed next.
  • Partners see you as a strategic advisor, not a support resource. Agency partners come to you for guidance on campaign strategy, platform adoption, and how to get better outcomes for their clients.
  • You prevent churn rather than react to it. You identify declining performance, engagement, or spend early, understand the underlying issue, and mobilize the right resources to address it.
  • The agencies you support understand how to use MNTN effectively, adopt relevant products and features, and can confidently bring MNTN into more client conversations without relying on you for every step.
  • You turn analysis into action. Account reviews don't end with observations. You consistently translate performance data into prioritized recommendations, partner conversations, and measurable changes in account strategy.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years in partner management, account management, customer success, or a similar client-facing role within AdTech, MarTech, or Digital Media.
  • A track record of growing revenue within an existing book of business — upselling, cross-selling, and expanding established accounts against a target or quota.
  • Commercial instinct: comfort identifying an opportunity, building the case, and asking for the business.
  • Hands-on understanding of paid media performance and how agencies evaluate a channel, including familiarity with CPA, ROAS, and budget pacing.
  • Understanding of agency workflows, campaign lifecycle management, and how agencies make budget allocation decisions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport across diverse audiences and seniority levels.
  • Proficiency in training delivery, public speaking, and facilitating workshops or webinars.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience auditing campaign performance and identifying concrete optimization opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ownership of retention or renewal outcomes, including recognizing churn risk early and turning at-risk accounts around.
  • A data-driven & operational mindset, with the ability to translate metrics into both a clear recommendation and a compelling case for expansion.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM, including pipeline management and forecasting.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across teams, including Sales, Solutions, and Marketing — ideally with experience in a paired or co-owned account model.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Adaptability to evolving processes, platforms, and partner needs in a dynamic environment.
